Nestled beneath the dramatic Stags Leap Palisades, this one-of-a-kind property celebrates Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s iconic architecture and enduring philosophy of sustainability, creativity, and harmony with nature.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of Friedensreich Hundertwasser or simply curious to experience one of the world’s most distinctive winery buildings, this immersive 45-minute guided walking tour offers a memorable introduction to his whimsical architecture, visionary philosophy, and extraordinary craftsmanship. Explore this remarkable property and discover the inspiration behind its unique design.

Step into Hundertwasser’s imaginative world, where “trees are tenants” and uneven floors create a “melody for the feet.” From its living roof and iconic golden onion dome to its vibrant mosaics and organic forms, every detail reflects his belief in ecological responsibility and the beauty of imperfection.

Along the way, take in sweeping views of the Stags Leap Palisades, capture memorable photos, and engage with our knowledgeable team as they share the story behind this extraordinary architectural landmark and the vision that brought it to life.

Following the tour, guests may choose to extend their visit with a seated tasting of Quixote’s award-winning, estate-grown wines.

Tour Details

  • Tour begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15th.
  • Hundertwasser Tour: $45 per guest, featuring a 45-minute guided walking tour
  • Hundertwasser Tour + Tasting: $95 per guest, featuring a 45-minute guided walking tour followed by a 45-minute hosted seated tasting of three Quixote wines in our tasting room. (Maximum 10 guests)
  • The experience includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, including hospitality and production areas.
* Please note: Due to the unique architecture and historic nature of the building, portions of the tour are not wheelchair accessible.
